Save Power | Heat Recovery Systems

In this day and age we hear a great deal about why we should save power and how we should attempt to go about doing this. Conserving and saving power is all about making sure that we are doing our bit to not only save the planet, but to also add value to our own lives as we help towards conserving natural resources. We at Easy Energy have a variety of options for you to consider if you are looking to save power.

The task of saving power is made easy with our range of solar water heating systems, heat recovery systems, heat recycling systems, water flow regulators and our geyser wise device. If you are looking to save power, be sure to contact us to find out more about your options. We would love to assist you in doing your part for your future and your environment.

Heat Recovery Products | Power Pipe

Do you know what heat recovery products are and how they work? Many people have never heard of heat recovery and we at Easy Energy would love to help you understand the concept and get it working for you!

Heat recovery is the process where heat that is being produced by air or water and is usually wasted is trapped and diverted to provide heat elsewhere. At Easy Energy our heat recovery products come in the form of “power-pipe” that is a heat exchanger and helps to move heat from one location to another. This can help you save up to 40% on your monthly water heating costs.

Allowing us to install a Power Pipe at your home will not only save you on your electricity bill, but will also assist you in doing your bit for the environment as water is saved and your carbon emissions will be reduced by up to 1 tonne per year!

Heat Recovery | Electricity Costs

Do you understand the process of heat recovery and how it can help you save energy consumption as well as your final water and electricity costs? Easy Energy prides itself on assisting clients in incorporating the process of heat recovery into their homes in order to conserve energy and reduce their carbon footprint on the environment.

How does heat recovery actually work? This is the process where heat in the form of waste water or air is re-used to heat somewhere else in the house. While this type of heating will not be sufficient to heat your shower water enough to be used, it will certainly reduce your over all heating costs. If your hot shower water is simply drained away and hot air from your factory is simply released, then you should be considering heat recovery to save you money and extend the life expectancy of our environment.

Let Easy Energy and the heat recovery process change your life! Re-use your heated water and air for good today!

Heat Recovery and Recylcing

Heat Recovery and Recylcing

Heat recovery is the process of extracting heat from a medium such as air or water that would typically have been wasted and reuse the heat somewhere else.

An example would be to recover the heat from a shower’s drain water and heat the geyser’s incoming water supply with the recovered heat.

Benefits

  • Reduce cost of heating by using your existing energy more efficiently
  • Reduce the size of heating equipment by recycling heat
  • Reduce your total carbon footprint

Typical uses

Heat recovery can be used by virtually anybody who has heat that is being wasted, examples include:

  • Domestic showers
  • Building’s grey water
  • Factory waste water
  • Building’s hot air

Energy sources can be recovered from

Easy Energy currently has products which can recovery heat from the following mediums:

  • Water or any liquids
  • Air or any gases
Power-Pipe

Power-Pipe

Easy Energy’s robust and reliable Power-Pipe is a heat exchanger that allows you to extract the heat that would typically be washed down your drain along with your drain water and recylce it by heating your shower’s cold water supply. Less hot water from the geyser is required if warmer cold water is being used, resulting in substantial savings.

Benefits

  • Save you up to 40% of your water heating costs.
  • Reduce your carbon emissions by up to 1 tonne per annum
  • Easy to install
  • No moving parts
  • Clogging resistant
  • Cross-contamination cannot occur between drain and fresh water
  • Maintenance FREE
  • Expected lifespan of 50 years
  • Retrofit to any water system

How it works

The Power-Pipe consists of copper tubes wrapped around a copper drain pipe. The waste water from your shower flows down the copper drain pipe, clinging to the inner surface as a very thin film. At the same time, cold fresh water travels up through the wrapped copper tubes. The heat in the waste water travels safely and efficiently through the copper and into the cold fresh water. How could energy conservation be any simpler?

Installation

Installing a Power-Pipe is straightforward. The Power-Pipe replaces a vertical section of your existing drain stack (whether it is plastic, cast iron, or copper) and is connected to your fresh water system. For the best possible results, the heated fresh water leaving the Power-Pipe should be routed to your shower’s cold water tap. Now when you have a shower, your hot water can contain safely recycled energy and your geyser has to heat less water.
